I’ve been a little MIA on my blog lately, maybe a little more on the missing side than the action side.
I’ve been driving, shooting- driving way more than I’ve been shooting, laughing, uploading, downloading, eating, editing, dancing- I’ve seen pics of that and it’s not pretty, cooking, baking, sweating- dang it’s been hot lately, instagraming- should be a word by now, pinning on pinterest, figuring out a way to get new frye boots, working on rebranding, and a few more adventurous things in between…

I’ll warn you now, it’s a whole lot of weddings, food, my dog, and randomness.
1. Beautiful ranch wedding in San Diego County
2. Made the NY Times Best Chocolate Chip Cookies- the dough is to die for and the cookies are good but the dough is far better. It calls for cake flour, which literally took me 20 minutes to find at the grocery store. Common sense told me to look for it by the other flour, but nooo, not there! That’s 20 minutes I’ll never get back.
3. Went shooting, not the camera kind but the gun kind. Thought i’d be fun until i had to hold the gun and pull the trigger. I closed my eyes each time i pulled the trigger. Did pretty well considering.
4. I know I’m getting old when my students are getting married. But I’m honored to be a part of their lives then and now.
5. Photographed a beautiful jewish wedding in Temescal Canyon Gateway Park- gorgeous view and the perfect feel for a nature-y wedding
6. First time shooting at the Star Ranch in Corona- very eclectic, fun, and hot! The owners told us to watch out for swarms of bees and rattlesnakes but we missed out on both accounts.
7. Shooting in and around the Mission Inn in Riverside.
8. Saw this very interesting orange submarine on the road last week- if my husband were around, he’d say it was built by aliens… his answer for anything strange.
9. The food stands in mexico city were amazing, colorful and very tasty… and a great way to lose weight

11. My baby lola when she was a baby. I want another one! Katie, give me one of your puppies, now!
12. An engagement shoot in Nelson, Nevada- quite the eclectic place as well and sinfully hot!
13. A fun and hot wedding at the Viceroy Hotel in Palm Springs. How was I shooting in every hot place on earth this summer??
14. Fun times at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs with Katie. Guess what… it was HOT!
15. Finally learned how to use the sekonic light meter… I know two things on it- money well spent
16. Yes! yes, someone hauled a couch out to the beach… genius? insane? I’m not quite sure.
17. One of the best views at a wedding at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center.
18. Wilson Creek Winery Wedding- try the Almond Champagne! and they have chocolate shots! Yum!
19. A fun and interesting menu at a wedding- tried food I never had before!
20. A wedding at Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes
21. Justin & Mary Marantz workshop at the Estancia Hotel in La Jolla
22. My favorite baby, my contax. now if I could only afford to shoot film at weddings
23. A cute engagement shoot with a chandelier and pick-nick in the back of a vintage truck
24. Puebla, Mexico- the most beautiful and ornate churches. Would be a perfect place for a wedding! Or an editorial shoot… anyone up for a trip?
25. White Bean Chili. very delicious and healthy… until you but all those good and not so healthy toppings on it- tortillas, cheese, sour cream- mmmmm!
26. If you’re in San Diego or you’re visiting, have a drink or two at The Pearl. They’re fun and delicious and the place is too cute!
27. Tequila Lime Chicken Fettuccine! fattening but sooo worth it! tastes just like sammy’s woodfire pizza margherita pasta

29. A very fun and gorgeous wedding in Long Beach. A complete diy wedding- the bride thought of every detail and she did an amazing job!
30. Riding a roller coater at Disneyland with Logan. I hate roller coasters! But I got on anyways.
