Normally I don’t do these types of posts but since people asked (0k! you got me, two people asked) me how I post processed my pictures into Black & White, I decided it would be rude of me not to answer their questions.
I could be totally doing this all wrong but it’s what I do and if you have other ways, please share![]()
I decided to use pictures from this past weekend… well, because I’m lazy… or efficient, however you want to look at it. And plus I have lots to share from this wedding.
This is a simple black & white faq post and when I say simple, I really mean simple.
Before:
After:
post processing- small curve adjustment to lighten, ying & yang from Totally Rad Actions-TRA- just used the yang to lighten Tiffany’s skin, then used the Black & White Channel Mixer 45/32/32 from Kubota Artistic Pak 1, and finally Magic Sharp at 50% from Kubota

See! Simple!
Other Black & White actions that I like and/ or use are the Kubota Black & White Channel Mixer 70/20/10, Bitchin B&W from TRA, and sometimes Awesome B&W from TRA.
** Oh me, oh my! How could I have possible forgotten about these beauties? I adore the black & white actions (well, I adore all their actions!) from Formula One! Definitely check them out!
They are awesome & bitchin!! Why do I feel funny saying that word? A funny story, which has nothing to do with this- I went into Starbucks to order a coffee and while at the counter the barista saw a book in my purse and asked what I was reading. I was totally embarrassed to say the title …so I whispered it… in my lowest, whisper voice I said Skinny Bitch. She of course didn’t hear me, I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you. Again in my whisper voice I said Skinny Bitch. I’m sorry, one more time. By that time I just had to say it loud. SKINNY BITCH. I was so embarrassed!
