When I first saw Megan I was working at Paloma Valley High School. She was newly hired as a counselor and we were in our monthly faculty meetings when I first laid eyes on her. I immediately thought to myself, they went and hired a teenager to work as a counselor??, she really looked that young and working in a high school that is probably not the look you want. Come to find out she was young for a counselor but only because she was motivated. She was so motivated that she finished her undergrad and grad school within 6 years. She was hired within two weeks of finishing school and she proved to be a very knowledgeable counselor and fun coworker.  

And although I am very proud of her motivation, I am more proud of her bravery… She is now pursuing her dream of becoming an actress!

She asked me for head shots so she could get started on her new career.

 

Megan, I am very, very proud of you. I am happy and grateful to call you my friend.

I love all types of music and I am not ashamed to say that I even love pop music. Ok, so you’re probably saying well I love pop music too, that’s why is called pop, short for popular. I’m talking about more of the bubble gum, teenager pop music. It’s young, the lyrics are easy to memorize, and it’s fun to sing along to. Yes, it’s true, I will sing along to lyrics such as

 “Cause you were Romeo – I was a scarlet letter, And my daddy said “stay away from Juliet” but you were everything to me I was begging you, please don’t go”

&

“There’s always gonna be another mountain I’m always gonna wanna make it move

Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus are fun to sing along with!

There is another pop group that I love to sing along with but chances are you have not heard of them… yet. But chances are, you may be singing along with their fun lyrics soon, just like me!
